Overview of our Apostille Services
With our 1-day Apostille Service for Certified Documents, we get your Apostille for all California county clerk certified documents (Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Court Orders, Notarized documents with Notary Authentication by any California County Clerk-Recorder) for $60. All documents received will be processed by the end of the next business day from the day we receive them, and can either be picked up after 7PM, or we will mail the documents via United States Priority Mail for an additional $5 or ship the documents with your Fed Ex, UPS or DHL account! Additional Apostilles like these are $30.
Urgent Service Notice: We will not getting Notary Authentication for Orange County documents from September 3 through September 15, 2010. We will resume our regular service for Orange County Notary Authentication beginning on September 16, 2010.
With our 1-day Apostille Service for Notarized documents, we get Notary Authentication on your Los Angeles County documents, and then we get the Apostille or Certification from the Secretary of State's office. We charge $140 for this service. Additional Apostilles such as these are $40.
All counter fees charged by the California Secretary of State (and the Los Angeles County Clerk/Recorder's office, if applicable) are included in the prices quoted here. Print the Apostille Service Order Form when making your order.

All documents can be shipped back to you using the United States Postal Service's Priority Mail Service, which includes delivery confirmation, for an additional $5. Insurance is optional when using this shipping method, and is available on our Apostille Service Order Form .
This service is available for documents from all California Counties (including Kern County, San Luis Obispo County, Tulare County, Inyo County, Ventura County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Kings County, Monterey County, and Orange County), provided that the documents have been signed or authenticated by the County Clerk's office in the origin County within the last 8 years. Also, please ensure that your documents have been stamped by the Los Angeles County Clerk/Recorder.

Optional Apostille Pick Up and Delivery Services
With our Apostille Pick Up Service, which can be combined with any of the above services, we charge $30 to pick up your documents (within a 12-mile radius). With our Apostille Delivery Service, the charge is $30 to deliver the documents back to your location (if you don't want your documents sent back via USPS First Class mail, which is free with our above services, or if you don't want to pay $5 for USPS Priority Mail Service!)
Legalization Services
For documents which need to be legalized at a Consulate, , the total charge is $90 for the first document and $10 for each additional document, plus the Consulate’s Fees. You will receive the document when the legalization process is complete (it can take a week or more sometimes, depending on the country's Consulate). You will be advised when the documents will be ready after our visit to the Consulate. We visit the Consulate General’s office of China in Los Angeles, California, the Brazilian Consulate in Beverly Hills, California, the Consulate of Chile in Los Angeles, the Consulate of Taiwan in Los Angeles, and the Consulate of Belgium in Los Angeles. Simply email us at: hollywoodnotary@gmail.com for a quote which will include all fees, plus specific requirements of the particular Consulate!
Note: on rare occasions, the Secretary of State or Los Angeles County Clerk's office can experience computer and/or power outages, which may cause a delay or disruption to this service. If this is the case, you will be notified immediately. Hollywood Notary.Net will still be owed the full amount agreed to in any case of delay due to circumstances beyond its control.
Sending Documents To Us By Mail or Overnight Delivery
For customers who are not dropping off their documents in person, (such as clients from outside of California, or clients from other countries), you can send your documents to us and use one of the services listed on this page. For international orders, we will only ship the documents back using Fed Ex, UPS, or DHL, using your account number or your payment. Please call or email us for a quote and for verification of the documents before shipping any documents to us.

Why You May Need An Apostille or Certification
If your official certified or notarized documents are going to be used outside of the United States, they will frequently need an Apostille or Certification. The Secretary of State of California issues Apostilles and Certifications for documents for which they authenticate the signatures of certain public officials, such as Notaries Public, County Clerks, Clerks of the Superior Court and Judges of the Superior Court. Such documents include Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and Marriage Certificates, documents notarized by California Notaries, and Court Orders from the California Superior Court. Other documents that the Secretary of State issues Apostilles and Certifications for include documents signed by certain State of California public officials. Some Certified documents require additional legalization from a Consulate or Embassy for use in the destination country.
The State of California's Secretary of State's office in Sacramento officially says that they take up to 2 weeks to process mailed orders for Apostilles and Certifications on documents which require signature Authentications, including documents signed by County Clerks and Notaries Public in California.

We process your order by personally driving all Los Angeles and Orange County Notarized documents to the appropriate County Clerk's office for Notary Authentication, and then delivering your documents to the Secretary of State's office in Los Angeles, where we wait for processing and send the documents back to you.
We can get an Apostille on any document in California that has been authenticated by any County Clerk/Recorder's office in California, for all of the 58 California Counties. Your signature or authentication by the County Clerk should have been obtained within the last 5 years in order to be quickly accepted by the Secretary of State (sometimes older signatures take more time to verify).
